Natural solutions for a greener future.

Natural solutions for a greener future.

Welcome to the Event Greening Program (EGP), the leading think tank dedicated to research, development and delivering biodiversity solutions to mitigate the unavoidable environmental impacts of live events worldwide.

7.6 billion tickets are sold annually for live physical events, encompassing almost the entire world's population. It is time to harness the power of that human collective experience, and show leadership in preserving and protecting our fragile shared stage - planet Earth - or there will be no encore.

Our Approach

  • At the EGP, we base our initiatives on a robust scientific framework, utilizing the latest research in environmental sustainability. This ensures that our actions are grounded in solid evidence and have a meaningful impact.

  • We recognise the importance of moving beyond processes and adopting a purpose-driven mindset. By doing so, we aim to develop feasible and impactful solutions that address the pressing environmental challenges of today.

  • While net-zero emissions remain important, the EGP is shifting its focus to a broader and more comprehensive lens centered around biodiversity. We understand that safeguarding and restoring natural habitats and ecosystems is essential for the health and resilience of our planet. Elevating existing biodiversity projects in every corner of the planet to the same level of recognition as carbon capture and net-zero initiatives for a sustainable future.

  • We bring together world leaders from various sectors, including the live event industry, sustainability, environmental science, technology, business, and academia. Through collaboration and innovative thinking, we strive to find comprehensive solutions that have a positive and lasting impact.

  • By leveraging the collective behavior of event attendees, we create opportunities for lasting engagement with the climate crisis. We aim to inspire individuals and communities to take action, both individually and collectively, driving meaningful change.

  • We have partnered with the esteemed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and its Environmental Solutions Initiative. By engaging undergraduate students in addressing environmental impacts, we seek scalable, quantifiable, and achievable solutions that can compete with existing schemes.

  • Unlike other event initiatives, the EGP aims to develop a business model where our solutions hold monetary value. We strive to provide tangible benefits to event organizers, sponsors, and participants, competing with schemes like Carbon Credits.
